Dear Patients, Parents and Members of the Community,

In compliance with the recommendations of the ADA and the Louisiana Department of Health we will be postponing all nonessential treatment until April 17th. This includes routine hygiene appointments and dental treatment that is not considered urgent. We WILL be available to treat emergencies. Emergencies include pain, infection, dental injuries, fractured teeth, and loss of certain dental appliances. I will personally be reviewing every appointment to determine whether it can be postponed or needs immediate attention. If you are not sure whether you have an emergency please call and we can screen you.

We will be calling parents to reschedule non emergent visits. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Our office is taking the following precautions if you do need emergent care:

  1. Temperatures will be taken on all staff in the morning and children before dental appointments. Any temperature over 99 will result in staff being sent home for two weeks and children's appointment being rescheduled.
  2. We ask you and your child wait in the car for your child to be called into operatory. Only one adult should accompany the patient. If siblings are brought, they must stay in the car with the parent.
  3. If you or your children have been around anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, have traveled out of the country in the last 30 days or are experiencing fever or cough, we kindly ask is that you reschedule.
  4. Wearing all appropriate PPE, disinfecting between every patient and wiping all surfaces with Clorox wipes every hour.

Thank you,

Stephanie Barlow DDS
