Dr. Stephanie grew up in Spartanburg, SC with her parents, sister and brother. The decision to become a dentist was an easy one. From a young age, she enjoyed going to the dentist and orthodontist and always looked forward to visits from the Tooth Fairy. She attended the University of South Carolina Honors Program and graduated with Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2007. After, Dr. Stephanie moved to New Orleans to attend the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and graduated in 2011. She fell in love with the South Louisiana culture, food and music. She stayed in the New Orleans area for several years working in a dental office that saw mostly children. It was here she learned her true passion in dentistry was treating pediatric patients.
In order to become the best pediatric dentist she could be, she attended a Pediatric Dental Residency Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Ohio. It was a cold few years in Cincinnati but she received amazing training. Dr. Stephanie and her family have recently moved back to the Northshore and are so happy to be “home.” She lives in Covington with her husband, Humphrey, daughter, June, brand new baby boy Mack and their fur babies, Lilly, Pepper and Boo-Boo. They spend their free time going to festivals, eating crawfish and snowballs, and enjoying all the Northshore has to offer.
Dr. Stephanie is excited to open the doors to her office in August 2019! We will start scheduling patients in July. She is excited to bring her years of experience to the Northshore and become an integral part of the community.

Our office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with the child for their comfort. School aged children for routine visits can be scheduled throughout the day. Sedation appointments are scheduled in only in the morning. Our afternoon appointments are for routine visits and older children requiring minor dental treatment.
We require a 48 hour cancellation notice.
Payment for professional services is due at the time dental treatment is provided. This includes deductibles and co-insurance. We accept cash, personal checks, and most major credit cards. We also take Care Credit.
For patients that require dental treatment, we compile a treatment plan. Our treatment coordinator will review the recommended treatment and the estimation of your dental insurance reimbursement.
Every effort will be made to provide a treatment plan which fits your timetable and budget, and gives your child the best possible care.
Northshore Pediatric Dentistry's mission is to deliver the best possible dental care for infants, children, teens and kids with special healthcare needs.
Our pediatric dental office has the latest state-of-the-art equipment to make sure your child has access to everything he or she needs at their visits. We have built our office with children in mind- offering a fun, comfortable environment which helps ensure a fun and easy visit.
We pride ourselves in practicing ethically and honestly, always taking the time to explain our findings. We always consider all appropriate treatment options and try to present the most conservative plans, when possible. It is important for us to be helpful to our patients and answer any questions you might have regarding your child’s dental care.
Starting early with prevention and good habits will help build a life-long smile and relationship with your pediatric dentist. Thank you for trusting us with one of the most joyful gifts a child has to offer, their smile!
first visit forms
Dr. Stephanie and her team are dedicated to
great dental experiences.
We, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend you bring your child in by his or her first birthday.
During your first visit, you will be introduced to our Pediatric Dental Team, given an office tour and discuss your child’s unique smile and ways to keep it beautiful for years to come.
Depending on the age of your child, he or she will either be given a knee-to-knee examination (where your baby’s head will rest on our doctor’s knee while their body is on your lap) or a regular exam in the doctor’s chair.
We request that you complete our First Visit Forms prior to arriving for your appointment. This helps our office keep your and everyone else’s scheduled visit on time.
Your initial exam will last approximately 30 minutes. Oral hygiene instructions will also be given with suggestions to help your child care for their own teeth. In most cases, we will also clean their teeth on this visit, and provide an evaluation that will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.
Dr. Stephanie is a pediatric dentist. She specializes in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, adolescents and those with special healthcare needs.
Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?
A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education.
We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their ”cavities fixed” but rather to prevent them. Our mission is to provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.
What is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist?
When a Pediatric Dentist is Board Certified it means that the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry or ABPD certifies that the dental care being provided is based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a Pediatric Dentist like
Dr. Stephanie has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to the delivery of quality patient care.
Preventive Oral Hygiene Instruction:
This includes proper brushing, flossing and eating habits, ideal fluoride levels and the use of pit and fissure sealants. We strive to provide a fun, educational environment where children learn about the importance of good dental hygiene.
This includes children’s fillings, crowns and prosthesis, including treatment of the often devastating nursing bottle decay. Dr. Stephanie is committed to discussing all options before these procedures and answering all questions you may have. Always working for the goal of a healthy smile is her priority.
Special needs patients:
If you're the parent or guardian of a child with disabilities, you'll appreciate the support, skill and compassion found with Dr. Stephanie and our office. We can help put your child on the path of good oral health with a preventative dental care plan customized to fit your child's needs.
While our goal is to prevent dental emergencies, we understand that the need for urgent dental care is sometimes necessary and can be a stressful experience for both parents and children. We strive to handle dental emergencies promptly and with compassion.
Your child’s smile is the best part of our day.
Looking forward to
seeing you soon!
Our office was designed
with your child in mind.
We believe everyday
should be fun.
